Event Background & Objective
The Queenstown Multicultural Festival (QMF) celebrates our community's rich cultural diversity and aligns with the UN International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Now in its fourth year, QMF aims to promote cross-cultural understanding, foster community engagement, and create an inclusive space for all to connect.
Vendor Categories & Fees

Commercial Food Vendor: $180 – For vendors who hold a current food registration certificate for their business.

Community Food Vendor: $90 – For community/cultural groups or individuals cooking from a home kitchen.

Cultural Booth (Non-Food): Free – For groups sharing culture, information, or running free activities.

Cultural Booth (Selling Goods): $90 – For community vendors selling non-food craft or retail items.
Key Requirements & Logistics:
1. Food Vendor Specifics

Menu & Tasting Sizes: Please list all menu items. Offering affordable tasting-sized portions is strongly encouraged.

Food Safety: Commercial vendors must provide a current food registration certificate. Community food vendors MUST attend a mandatory food safety workshop (provided by QLDC).

Cooking & Equipment:

Electric cooking must be indoors; BBQs/gas cooking are outdoors(limited spot).

One trestle table is provided. You may bring one extra table or hire an additional trestle for $15.

Up to four power outlets are provided. Please minimise power usage.

All electrical appliances must have a valid safety tag.

A free tagging session will be available on-site for any untagged equipment. We will confirm the tagging session date and share it with all vendors soon.

Vendors are responsible for providing their own essential equipment (fire extinguisher for BBQs, ice, chilly bins, power cords, etc.).

2. Cultural Booth Specifics

Booth Presentation: One trestle table is provided. Booths should be decorated in a welcoming manner. Displaying national flags and sharing cultural artifacts or child-friendly activities is encouraged.

Donations: You may place a donation box at your booth to raise funds for your community or organisation.
3. For All Vendors

Sustainability: We partner with DISHrupt™ to provide reusable dishware. Minimising single-use waste is a priority. All food and drink vendors are required to use the DISHrupt™ reusable dishware system provided by the festival. This service is provided at no cost to you.

Set-Up & Pack-Down: Stalls must be set up by 9:30 AM (ready for 10:00 AM opening) and cleared by 7:30 PM. All rubbish and surplus stock must be removed.

Promotion: QMF will promote the festival widely. Vendors are welcome to provide promotional text and images for feature on our platforms.
